Premium Machinery Store with Double Roller Bays

Client: Borthwick Farm Holdings

Premium Machinery Store with Double Roller Bays

1.0 Project Narrative

Borthwick Farm Holdings required a secure, dry workshop and machinery storage facility to house heavy GPS-guided cropping equipment, seeders, and high-value private farm trucks. The client demanded high-speed automated roller shutters on the bays and advanced condensation protection to prevent electronics damage.

2.0 Structural & Environmental Challenges

Under-roof condensation is a massive threat to high-value agricultural electronics. Rapid ambient temperature swings cause internal metal roofs to 'sweat' moisture directly onto parked combines and seeders.

3.0 Applied Engineering Solutions

We fabricated custom wide-access columns to support two 5m wide automated steel roller doors. The roof cladding was lined with our premium Non-Drip felt anti-condensation backing, which holds up to 1 liter of water per square meter, safely draining moisture down the vertical purlin guides and protecting all interior farm assets.
